Veterans Week Speaking Tour in November
Breakfast Presentation at Binghamton Forum |
About the Binghamton Forum (from their website)
What do Henry Kissinger, Mark Russell, M. Scott Carpenter, Anna Deavere Smith, Dick Cavett and Ted Turner have in common? They were all among the nationally known speakers who came to Binghamton University to present to members of the Binghamton University Forum.
Established in 1977 as the Harpur Forum, the Binghamton University Forum is a membership organization devoted to strengthening the bond between the University and the community. It serves local business, professional and community leaders by hosting events that encourage new thinking, generate discussion and give members the chance to meet some of the most remarkable people alive today. Forum events also provide a rich environment for personal and professional networking. More info at their website.
Thanks to Solebury School
I had a tremendous time speaking to an assembly of more than 250 students early Tuesday morning about a few of my history films. And I'd like to thank Dean of Students, Annette Miller for inviting me to speak at Solebury School.
I was told that the faculty and students at Solebury had a focus and a keen interest in history and they really seemed to enjoy it. In fact a group of students came up after the presentation to ask more questions and say say that they thought it was, "cool". High praise indeed and I'm so glad they enjoyed it! I look forward to my next visit to Solebury.
