- 72nd Anniversary of D Day / Ghost Carrier Free on Kindle
Posted by : Robert Child
Monday
Today in honor of the 72nd anniversary of the invasion of Normandy better known as "D-Day" I am making my latest military thriller, Ghost Carrier, available at no cost on Kindle. *This is a limited time promotion - essentially only a matter of hours so act fast before the window closes.
"I'm a sucker for time travel stories. But only good ones which makes the genre largely disappointing. The author overcomes the usual time travel issues—unbelievable, loose ends, contrived—by tackling the issues directly. A clever plot twist is the use of a time travel expert (making the reader believe that such an expert exists is another good job by Child) who attacks the issues directly with her explaining and debunking each one in plausible, entertaining and educational ways that compels the reader, at least this one, through the story. On top of that is the story—an exciting World War II "what if" tale."
Check out the forthcoming novel, The Lost Eleven: The Forgotten Story of Black American Soldiers Brutally Massacred in World War II, based on the Wereth Eleven story. Available for pre-order now.
